Ingredients of Gundar pak /gond burfi
- Prepare 100 gm of Gundar Kani/Gond.
- Prepare 250 gm of Khoya (unsweetened).
- You need 100 gm of Sugar.
- Prepare of Pista flakes for Garnish.
This is a famous dish from Gujarat generally prepared in the winter season. This uses all healthy ingredients like Gundar or gond /edible gum, ghee/clarified butter, dry fruits, mawa/reduced milk solid. This makes it very healthy perfect for winters. In a pan, heat ghee over medium flame.
Gundar pak /gond burfi step by step
- Crumble Khoya (unsweetened). with hand..add sugar..
- Mix well..and keep aside for 2-3hours so sugar will get diluted with Khoya..

- Spread Gundar Kani /Gond in baking tray.Place in Oven.. upper side..
- Spluttter these Gundar Kani/Gond in Oven at High temperature of 250C for 8mins..
- Splutttered GUNDAR Kani/Gond. Keep aside..
- In Non stick pan add Khoya-Sugar mixture..Saute this mixture at low temperature for four-five minutes...
- To check if the mixture is Cooked.. place a drop of hot mixture..in plate..with thumb and first finger..make small ball..(if still sticking and not forming ball..then Roast for few seconds more)..
- Off the Flame..add splutttered GUNDAR Kani /Gond.Mix well..

- Spread this PREPARED GUNDAR PAK/ GOND BURFI..IN TRAY.Garnish with Pistachio flakes..
- Cool for 1/2hour before cutting into squares pieces..
- Serve & relish this delicious traditional sweet.gundar pak /gond burfi...made with four ingredients only..
Take out in a bowl and keep aside. Now lower the flame to medium low. Dry roast almond on low heat and coarse grind. Dry roast shredded coconut on low heat for a minute. Roasting all these ingredients enhances the flavour.
