Meatless Monday Thali This Vegetarian thali consists some of the simple dishes, but is a deeply satisfying meal. It is rightly said that "Simplicity is the ultimate form of sophistication". Items on the thali are chavli usal, khamang kakdi, alu vadi, chapatis, lemon pickle, dal rice (varan bhat) and rice kheer. So I started this Mega Thali BM with a Simple every day North Indian Vegetarian Lunch Thali, the thali which I have grown up eating, and ending it with this Vegetarian Maharashtrian Thali.

Veg.Thali instructions

  1. Dal-wash and soak 15 mint in water after drain out, heat a cooker add dal and water cook 4 to 5 whistles. Open lid and mix proper add water,turmeric, red chilli, salt, ginger,green chilli,tomato,coriander powder,chhole masala the and cook 5 to 10 mint medium low flame after add mango powder and mix.
  2. Another side make tadka - heat a pan add ghee cumin seeds, clove,black pepper, dry red chilli hing and the colour change turn off gas and add this tadka in dal,garnish coriander leaves and serve..
  3. Shrikhand- take bowl of curd add sugar mix proper add saffron dry fruits again mix.put in fridge after few mint Serve..
  4. Potato veg - wash, peel and cut potato.Heat a pan add oil rai and jeera,hing wait colour change add potato,turmeric red chilli and salt mix cover a pan,put water bowl on pan cover and cook medium low..
  5. Keep stirring in between leave till they proper cook.
  6. After add coriander powder and mango powder mix roast 2 mint.turn off flame. And serve..
  7. Puri-take a bowl add flour mix water knead a tight dough. Make a ball this dough.rolling this ball in round shape and fry..
