Hesarbele payasa Moong dal kheer. After a lot of thought I decided to share " Moong dal kheer / Moong Dal Payasam " as it is one of the most common payasam made and devoured during festive seasons in South India. It is simple to make, tastes divine and extremely nutritious. In Karanataka it is called as " Hesaru bele Payasa ".
Instructions for making hesaru bele payasa or mungdal kheer: Take a mung dal in a cooker and rinse well. Parallely wash and chop the cucumber into small pieces. Ingredients of Hesarbele payasa Moong dal kheer
- It's of moong dal.
- Prepare of jaggery.
- Prepare of ghee.
- Prepare of cashew.
- You need of raisins.
- Prepare of cardamom powder.
Hesaru bele payasa or Moong dal payasa is one of the easiest, healthiest kheer. This is one of the traditional payasa with Moong dal and Jaggery. Benefits of Moong dal or yellow mung dal are, they are rich in protein, dietary fiber, potassium and B complex too. Also saute the cashews,raisins in ghee and keep it aside.
Hesarbele payasa Moong dal kheer step by step
- Dry roast the moong dal till slightly golden brown, add water and let it cook till it becomes soft and mushy...
- In a pan heat ghee and add the cashews and fry for a minute add raisins and remove from heat once the raisins starts to puff.. Keep aside...
- In the same pan add jaggery and 1/4th cup water and melt it.. Add the cooked dal and mix well and bring it to a boil.. Add the roasted cashews and raisins and mix.. Serve it hot with some ghee in top...
Cook the dal.(you can cook it in rice cooker) . In a vessel,add the cooked dal,a dd. Mullusowthe Hesarubele Payasa / Cucumber Moong dal kheer Summer is in full swing and so is my kitchen garden. Every summer , we grow a few vegetables like Cucumber, Tomatoes, Zuchini , Peppers etc in our small kitchen garden. During summer times, we have such a good harvest of these veggies.
