- Prepare 1/2 kg of Mutton pieces.
- It's 2 tsp of Ginger garlic paste.
- Prepare 1 tsp of Castor Oil.

- You need 15 of Shallots roughly chopped.
- Prepare 1 of Small Tomato roughly chopped.
- It's 1/4 cup of Grated Coconut.
- You need 3 tsp of coriander seeds.
- Prepare 2 of Cloves.
- You need 1/2 inch of cinnamon stick.
- It's 1/2 tsp of Fennel seeds.
- You need 1/2 tsp of Cumin seeds.
- You need 5 of Pepper corns.
- You need 5 of Dry Red Chillies.
- You need 1 tsp of Curry leaves.
- Prepare 1 of Green Chilli.
- You need 1 tsp of Turmeric powder.
- It's 2 tsp of Coriander leaves.
- Prepare to taste of Rock Salt.
- You need As needed of Water.

Mutton Kuzhambu Mutton Curry step by step
- Clean and wash the mutton pieces..
- Place a pressure cooker in the stove. Switch on the flame. Add the mutton pieces, 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder, castor oil, ginger garlic paste and some water. Mix well. Leave for 1 whistle in high flame and keep in medium low flame. Let it cook for 20 minutes..
- Once the pressure goes off, open the cooker lid..
- Place a sautepan in the stove. Switch on the flame. Keep in medium flame..
- Add 1 tsp Sesame Oil, coriander seeds, cloves, cinnamon, fennel seeds,curry leaves few, red chillies, cumin seeds and peppercorns. Roast till it turns light brown colour. Transfer to a bowl..
- Then in the same pan, add another 2 tsp Sesame Oil and shallots. Keep in medium flame and saute till it becomes translucent. Add tomato and saute for 5 mins. Atlast add grated coconut and saute well for a minute. Transfer to a bowl..
- Cool all the fried items completely. In a mixie, add the first items which we have roasted. Grind to a fine powder..
- Along with that powder, add the onions and coconut in the mixie. And add 1/2 tsp turmeric powder and green chilli. Grind to smooth paste by adding water gradually..
- In a currypan, add the masala paste, cooked mutton along with that water and salt. Again add required water for it to cook. Cover and cook for 15 to 20 mins..
- In tadka pan add the ingredients given for tempering. Fry till shallots becomes translucent..
- Then add it to the mutton curry. Mix well and transfer to a bowl. Garnish with coriander leaves..
- Now it's ready to serve with hot rice, idli and dosa..
Add in the spice powder and toss well. Add in the washed mutton pieces and add some water. Turn the heat off and let the pressure go all by itself. Absolutely no need of tomatoes, no need of coconuts, no need of curry leaves, no need of cilantro, mint, garlic, ginger or any more fancy spices.
