Halawa instructions
- Prepare all of your ingredients.
- Line a container with baking paper and oil the bottom and sides.
- Add the dried milk powder and sugar into a mixing bowl and mix together.
- Mix the pistachios into the bowl.
- Add the tahini and start to mix all of the ingredients together.
- Continue to mix the ingredients with your hands until it mostly all clumps together.
- Take 1/3rd of the mix and press into the container. Then, take another third of the mix and repeat.
- If you want to add some chocolate as well, add the cocoa powder to the last third of the bowl and begin to mix it in with the remaining halawa. If you don’t want the chocolate, just layer the mix in again like step 7..
- Take your container and place it into the fridge for at least 6 hours. You can technically eat it immediately but it’s better to leave it overnight or something.
- Once set, upturn the container onto a plate (you might need to use a knife to unstick it around the sides), remove the baking paper, and decorate.
